Hi Maz,
ReplyDeleteWhat great information you have found. I didn't realise we had 5 species of turtle in New Zealand or that they date back that far.
I have been watching some of the wildlife programmes on netflix, turtles came up in one episode. The turtles in the programme had to go travel huge distances and across a main road to get to an appropriate nesting site, in a park! Needless to say, not all make it back to the sea.
On a positive note though, great work. I look forward to reading your next post.
Mrs Ferguson
